Smart contract integration
Accept cryptocurrency payments directly to your own wallet using Volet.com smart contracts. Customers connect their crypto wallets and approve transactions, while the smart contract processes payments and distributes funds and processing fees on-chain.
Neither you nor your customers need a Volet.com account. You control your receiving wallet and manage payment confirmation through your own application.
Important: This integration does not use Hosted Checkout or Merchant API invoices. Your application provides the checkout interface and verifies payments directly on the blockchain. Volet.com does not send payment status callbacks for this flow.
How it works
A non-custodial payment integration involves three components:
- Your application: Creates orders, initiates payments and verifies transactions.
- Customer's wallet: Connects to your application and signs payment transactions.
- Volet.com smart contract: Processes payments, transfers funds to your wallet and collects processing fees.
Payment flow
- Create an order. Your backend records the payment amount, asset, blockchain network and merchant receiving wallet.
- Connect the customer's wallet. Your application requests a connection to a compatible crypto wallet.
- Calculate the payment. The smart contract's
previewPayment()function returns the processing fee and the amount the customer must pay. - Request payment. The customer reviews and signs the transaction. Token payments such as USDT may require a separate approval first.
- Process the transaction. The smart contract transfers funds to your wallet and collects the processing fee.
- Record the transaction. Your application saves the transaction hash (
txid) and associates it with the order. - Verify the payment. Your backend independently checks the transaction, including its status, network, contract, asset, recipient, amount and blockchain finality.
- Complete the order. Once verification succeeds, your application marks the order as paid and fulfils it only once.
Important: A transaction hash, wallet approval or successful transaction status alone does not confirm that an order has been paid. Always verify the payment details on your backend before fulfilling an order.
Choose your network
Select the integration guide for the blockchain networks and assets you want to accept.
| Network | Supported assets in these guides | Customer wallets | Integration guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain | ETH, BNB, USDT (ERC-20 and BEP-20) | MetaMask and WalletConnect-compatible wallets | EVM integration |
| TRON | TRX, USDT (TRC-20) | TronLink; WalletConnect via a separate integration | TRON integration |
Other networks and assets may require separate implementations. See Non-custodial crypto payments for an overview of the product and supported options.
Before you start
You will need:
- Merchant wallet: A crypto wallet you control to receive payments.
- Application: A website or application with a checkout interface.
- Backend and database: To create orders, store transaction details and verify payments.
- Wallet integration: A compatible wallet connection library for your chosen network.
- Smart contract details: The processor contract addresses, ABI and parameters provided by Volet.com.
- Blockchain access: An RPC provider or hosted blockchain service to verify transactions.
Depending on your integration, you may also need a WalletConnect Project ID or TronGrid API key.
Contact our team to obtain the required smart contract details and discuss your integration.
Processing fees
The smart contract calculates the processing fee through previewPayment(). Your application can choose who pays the fee:
- Customer pays: The processing fee is added to the payment amount. The merchant receives the requested amount.
- Merchant pays: The processing fee is deducted from the requested amount. The merchant receives the remainder.
Blockchain network fees, such as gas on Ethereum or Energy and Bandwidth costs on TRON, are separate from the Volet.com processing fee.
Always use the amounts returned by previewPayment() rather than calculating processing fees manually.
For contract parameters and fee calculation details, see Smart contract reference.
Integration guides
Follow these steps to complete your integration:
- Implement the payment flow. Choose the Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain guide or the TRON guide to connect customer wallets, configure smart contracts and submit payments.
- Implement payment verification. Follow Payment verification and order tracking to match blockchain transactions to orders and prevent duplicate fulfilment.
- Test your integration. Test successful and failed payments, token approvals, rejected transactions and payment verification before launching.

Example integrations
The network-specific guides include HTML examples that you can open in your browser or download:
- EVM example (
example-evm.html): Demonstrates wallet connection, fee calculation, ETH, BNB and USDT payments, and transaction tracking. - TRON example (
example-tron.html): Demonstrates TronLink connection, fee calculation, TRX and USDT payments, and transaction tracking.
Each guide explains how to use its example.
Important: Both examples use mainnet contracts. Any payment confirmed in your wallet involves real funds. To test payments, you need two wallets: one to send funds and another to receive them.
Demo limitations: The examples store transaction history in browser
localStorage. They do not include a production backend or complete payment verification. Adapt and test them before accepting real customer payments.
Integrate with an AI coding assistant
You can use an AI coding assistant to help integrate Volet.com smart contract payments into your existing application.
Use our ready-to-use integration prompt covering wallet connections, payment processing, backend verification, order tracking and testing.
Provide your AI assistant with the prompt, your application's source code and the relevant integration guides.
Important: Review and test all AI-generated code before processing real payments. Verify contract addresses, payment validation logic and transaction handling.
